Clothing team member – Hetta

We are recruiting clothing team members to Lapland Safaris Hetta for Christmas season 2023!

 

During the Christmas season Hetta is visited by several daily flights of guests from Great Britain and Ireland. They have one day full of winter activities and as main point – visiting Santa Claus.

As a clothing team member, you will assist guests get properly dressed for the activities already at the airport. Clothing includes overalls, woolen socks, boots, gloves, balaclavas, helmets and hats if needed. You also see that the clothing venue is cleaned up and well organized daily. After the guests return the clothes at the end of the day, the clothing team takes care of the returned gear and is responsible for the maintenance of them. This is a very important part of the whole day’s success as guests are spending lot of time outdoors! Clothing team member works also on the activity area as Christmas worker when needed.

At the activity area the Christmas worker takes care of the customer service and security. Your workplace can be tobogganing slide or bobsleigh hill, teaching to drive the snowmobile or serve hot juice in the snow castle and telling stories. You might also be part of the very important team that organizes the visits to Mr. Claus himself!

The work itself is both independent and team effort. You prepare the activity area for the guests as well as clean the area at the end of the day. Also, some other maintenance tasks on the area can be included in the work. Christmas worker works also at the airport as clothing team member when needed.

The work environment is very international, so our main working language is English. However fluent English is not needed in all tasks, also basic knowledge of English is already an advantage. Previous experience of these kind of tasks is considered a plus as well as first aid skills and a driving license. Driving experience in snowy conditions would be a great.

You will be working during the busiest Christmas season which means that working days are hectic and sometimes days can be long. Due to these facts, we expect our staff to be able to work under pressure and, also be flexible in their work.

The work relationship is fixed-term seasonal contract by the collective agreement of Adventure Services Sector. Work will start in December 2023 and will last until the week 51. Work will be done also on weekends and public holidays.

We help our staff to find accommodation in shared apartments, with a reasonable monthly rent. Please notice that Lapland Safaris is a non-smoking working place.
