Elf – Kelokaira, Olos, Muonio

We are hiring Elves for Lapland Safaris Elf Village in Muonio for Christmas season 2023!

How would this sound to you – working with Santa Claus as an Elf during the Christmas season and making the Christmas story alive both to children and adults?

Elf guide’s job is the funniest job of all! An Elf is at the same time a guide, an entertainer, a storyteller and a mythical creature of Christmas. Elf makes sure that everyone has a smile on their faces and a few butterflies in their bellies as it does not happen every day that one meet Mr. Claus himself! Elf works both alone, and in a team, depending on the workplace and the role. For example, the Post Office Elf takes care of all the letters from around the world and assists other Elf to welcome the guests to visit Santa. Another Elf watches over Santa´s extremely private belongings such as the Secrets of Christmas. At Elf School the Elves teach the secret Elf language. There are all kinds of work tasks for every Elf!

An Elf needs to have an energetic, outgoing and creative character. A positive, brisk, self-imposed, and playful jolly Elf attitude is needed! It’s good to have strong performing and improvisation skills. Elves need a lot of Christmas spirit and they really love Christmas. Elves have great social skills especially get along with children, and they like working in a team. Elves need to know how to lead a group though the magical Elf village. They have good verbal English skills, and French and Spanish language skills are an advantage speaking with kids all around. Elves are flexible and have the ability to handle pressure especially during long days. A driving license and experience in driving in snowy conditions are a plus as well as earlier experience of similar tasks.

Before the start of the actual work, Lapland Safaris organizes a training for the new elves. Training includes learning the required skills and getting to know the operational environment.

The working relationship is fixed-term seasonal contract by the collective agreement of Adventure Services Sector. Work starts on the 20.11.2023 and will endure until the beginning of January 2024. Work will be done also during weekends and public holidays.

We help our staff to find accommodation in shared apartments, with a reasonable monthly rent. Please notice that Lapland Safaris is a non-smoking working place.
