Kelokaira Customer Hostess or Host – Olos, Muonio

We are hiring to Lapland Safaris Olos, Wilderness Center Kelokaira Customer Hostess / Customer Host for springtime 2024!

 

We are looking for a Customer Hostess / Host in Kelokaira to take care of guests staying overnight and to provide them with great service.

 

Kelokaira Wilderness Center is a cosy hideaway situated by the lake Toras-Sieppi in Muonio, in the Fell Lapland that knows no rush. By the road, the distance from Lapland Hotel Olos is 15 km, and around 50km from the bigger ski resorst of Ylläs and Levi. The location is peaceful and idyllic, surrounded by forests and fells. Kelokaira is conveniently situated on the lake shore making it perfect for ice fishing, Northern Light spotting, and snow shoe walking in the winter. Snowmobile tracks start straight from the yard.

Kelokaira concists of several buildings: main building with big kitchen, meeting / dining room for 50 persons and a living room to spend the evening. Accommodation is in separate cabins, a total capasity of 22 persons. Kelokaira has mod cons in every building. The wood heated sauna is situated separately from the other buildings on the lake shore. The sauna has a cozy dressing room with a fire place and modern shower facilities. There is also a hot tub on the terrace of the sauna.

In addition to creating a cozy atmoshphere for the guest, the work tasks include preparation, setting and serving of several meals per day: breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. Also daily cleaning of common areas, cabins and sauna are a part of the job, as well as bigger cleanups when groups leave and new ones arrive; making beds and doing welcome preparations. An important taks is acquiring the foodstuffs and transporting thems between Kelokaira and hotel, and doing wholesale orders. Small-scale snow work is done frequently. Last but not least, close co-operation with other units (Lapland Safaris and Lapland Hotels staff) is required.

 

We expect from you:

• ability to work independently and to handle pressure
• service orientated and brisk attitude
• spirit of entrepreneur and ability to work long days
• fluent English
• driving license and experience driving in snowy conditions
• Finnish hygiene and alcohol certificates
• your own car is an advantage

The working relationship is a fixed-term seasonal contract by the collective agreement of Hotel, restaurant and leisure industry. Work will start in January 2024 and will last approximately at the end of March 2024. Work will be done also during weekends and public holidays.

We help our staff to find accommodation in shared apartments, with a reasonable monthly rent. Please notice that Lapland Safaris is a non-smoking working place.
