WHAT’S IT LIKE?

The duties of Christmas Operations Coordinator focus on handling and organizing the daily operations of charter flight passengers during the Christmas season. The coordinators form a team who manage the Christmas Operations as a whole, with the operator’s daily schedule its core. This includes, for example, transportation scheduling, cooperation with tour operators and management of bookings for various safaris with our suppliers. Christmas Operation Coordinators work in Rovaniemi, Saariselkä, Levi, Ylläs and Olos.

Tasks are shared within the team so that each member has their own area of responsibility, and there may be several different roles within a different destination. Duties vary depending on the location. Responsibilities include acting as a shift supervisor for elves, handling advance bookings for excursions and safaris, and supporting the sales efforts of tour operator staff. You may also be responsible for managing operational data related to daily excursions or overseeing the overall execution of daily activity programs.

What do we expect from you?

As a Christmas Operations Coordinator you are a team player who’s also able to work independently. We will provide you with training at the start of your employment. As we have an international work community and guests, you need to have excellent written and spoken English skills. You have good knowledge of using Microsoft Word and Excel but are also able to absorb other systems when needed. Work during the season can be hectic, so you will need to stay calm and flexible in order to do precise work even with a faster tempo. Education or work experience in the tourism industry is seen as advantageous.
