Clothing team worker

Pedant customer servant in clothing

What's it like?

guest’s magical day outdoors starts when they visit you, our Clothing Team Worker. You are there to serve our guests when it's time to hand out clothes. As a Clothing Team Worker, you estimate which overall size each guest needs, give gloves, hats, scarves, balaclavas, helmets and the correct size shoesYou tell the guests what to wear and why. Clothing Team Workers need to have knowledge about the clothing and the materials, and they need to be able to advise the guests on layered clothing and how to stay warm. They can also tell if the guest's own clothes are suitable for the arctic weather conditions. Clothing team also takes care of tidiness of the clothing venue.

Being part of our community

As a Clothing Team Worker, you are part of an efficient team, where each member takes care of their own station, while still working seamlessly together. The work of a Clothing Team Worker is practical and hands-on, and you learn best by following and observing your senior colleagues, as well as by doing the work yourself.

The work starts usually at the end of November and ends when all the Christmas charters have finished by the turn of the year, approximately at the end of December or beginning of January.

What do we expect from you?

A large amount of clothing is handed out and returned every day. During one day, there may be 2500 guests who need a whole set of clothing. Usually, guests return the clothing on the same day when they get them. The work with such numbers of people and amount of clothing can be hectic at times. Clothing Team Workers are therefore required to be able to work hard and efficiently towards the common goal – a warm and happy guest.

If you love organizing, this is the position for you. A Clothing Team Worker is an independent, efficient and pedant team player. When you also have a positive attitude and good interpersonal skills, you will do great! The work is quite physical, and hours can be long, so endurance is needed. As a Clothing Team Worker, you are also able to give short instructions to guests in English. Previous experience of similar tasks in the field of tourism is considered advantageous, as well as experience driving a large van (class B driver’s license) in arctic conditions.
